    My Life In Pictures…

By Tonya Jone Miller | September 19, 2009

    No Minors

I’ve had this thing lately for signs. Not the big, prophetic universal kind. Just various signs I’ve seen around town and during my travels this summer. We posted some on the Dance Naked Productions blog, but for the most part I was horrible about getting my camera out in time. However, I did take a decent amount of photos, and I’ve finally had time to sort through some of them…

    Condoms Is A Problems
Graffiti I found hysterical. This was in the parking lot in Winnipeg next to the King’s Head Pub where we all congregated most nights. People went next door to the parking lot to get stoned. Or uhhh, so they tell me… :)

    AmyDirkTonya
My cool new pal, Amy J. Lester, and me on the last night of Winnipeg. That’s Dirk in the hat, hiding in the background, who along with his lady, Julia Mackey, are two of the most kind and talented folks I met all summer. Their show, Jake’s Gift, is INCREDIBLE, and if you ever have the chance to see it, GO.

    Dirk Tonya Hef
Dirk, myself, and John Hefner (whose show, The Hefner Monologues, was hilarious) on the last night of Winnipeg.

    Julia Dirk Tonya
Julia and me, with surprise surprise, Dirk peeking through. Have I mentioned I adore these two?

    Tonya Jimmy Tara
Me, Jimmy Hogg, and Tara (who did a charming and funny show called Lavignia).

    Tonya Paul
Me and Paul Hutcheson in Calgary. This man rocks my world. If only I were a gay man… *sigh*

    Mary Tonya
Mary and me, celebrating our Calgary Best of Fest “Honourable Mention” medals. Oh yeah baby. We’re honourable. And mentioned! Heh.

    Adrienna Mary Tonya Eleanor
This is us in front of Betty, our trusty RV, about to leave Calgary for Edmonton.

    Tonya Adrienna Mary Eleanor
On our way to sing Storm Large’s “8 Miles Wide” in the beer garden in Edmonton. Was a great way to get attention, that’s for sure! Like the chocolate-covered banana? *wink*

    Nudity Warning
I find it extremely ironic that of all three of our venues this tour, it was the freakin’ comedy club that felt it necessary to put a “you might be offended” nudity warning up. Like nobody every gets offended at a comedy club… *snort*

    Adrienna Tonya Mary Eleanor
Us at the infamous Steel Wheels in Edmonton. Cheap, terrible pizza, $3 beers, and surprisingly decent Korean food. Besides, it’s where everyone ends up sooner or later.

    Tonya Mary
Me and Mary…Another night, another trip to Steel Wheels. :)

    Onstage In Edmonton
The four of us onstage at the end of Inviting Desire, our last show in Edmonton and last show of the tour!

    Sold Out
That’s right, we sold out 5 of 7 shows in Edmonton! Despite poor reviews including one that began, “I can tell when a woman is faking it, okay?” Sorry, but it’s like saying you’re not homophobic or not a racist or whatever- if you have to say it…

    Me And Boys In Betty
Me and the boys in Betty, last night of Edmonton. Believe it or not, this was at the start of all the craziness. *grins* It only got wilder from here…

    Tonya In Victoria
Me in Victoria. Not part of the tour, just part of a last-minute trip I took to Victoria and Vancouver on a whim.

So there you have it. There are about 500 more pictures, but most of them aren’t fit to print. Heh. Jesus what a crazy summer.
